Liz has been slacking on updating her blog about Eli so I thought I would take the time and do it quickly.

Eli is 8 going on 9 months now and boy is he growing. He is a crawling machine chasing Gizzy all over the house and tormenting Ramses when ever he can actually get close. Right now his favorite toy is actually a Pepsi bottle that he can never seem to catch on the first try to grab it. He eventually gets it but then looses it after swinging it around and the chase starts all over again. He is also beginning to try and lift him self up to a standing position but its a work in progress. Drool has become a common place on him and and the furniture ever since he got his first 2 teeth. Its getting to the point now that when he bites it actually can have a little sting to it. Eli is getting pretty good at using the sippy cup. He is now tipping the cup back to drink from it opposed to him just sitting there and chewing on it. Granted he still try’s to chew on it but its becoming less and less. The word “no” is becoming more and more common around the house ever since he started crawling. When Liz tells him no, for example when he try’s to go in or climb on top of Gizzy’s kennel he literally just laughs at her like she told a joke and he understood but with me he listens… well sorta… ok, maybe 70% of the time. Hey, its a start. I tell her she needs to say it with more authority but even then he finds hilarious.

I will try to have Liz update this more often to keep everyone up to date. And I am sure that once she reads this she will come back and tell me I left “this” or “that” out. Well that just a quick update.

Eli is 6 months and so much has happened. He got his 1st professional pictures taken. And let me tell you this boy loves the camara and the camara loves him back. He is wanting to crawl but he is not yet there. His 1st tooth is coming out and everything he gets his hands on goes in his mouth. He was also baptised this month by his greatgrandpa John and that just made is so much more speacial. Everyday is just a new adventure for him John and I just love watching him grow and are just amazed at everything he does.

Eli is now 5 months by the time we realize it he will be crawling around the house.  It seams that it was only yesterday when we brought him home from the hospital.  He is so alert and just loves to laugh and play with toys now.  He no longer cares for the bouncy or swing, he wants “big boy” toys now.   He enjoys going for walks in the stroller and he loves to play in his walker.   He is trying to sit up but he is not quite there yet.

Time is just going by so fast, Eli is getting so big he is now 13.8oz.  He is such a happy baby. He started eating this month.  I was suprised at how well he did with the rice cereal, he really likes it.   He is definetly changing every day, its so amazing to watch him grow. We just cant get enough of him, he is sooo adorable, and just so cute.  I love cuddling with him but I know that is not going to last long so I will take advantage of it now.

I don’t really like the swing but this is the one time I stayed.

It is hard to believe that it has been more that 3 months since Eli was born.  Eli is growing so much it amazing to watch.  I just can’t believe my BABY is going to be 4 months. I got to say taking care of a baby is starting to get easier for John and I. 

Eli is such a happy baby, he loves to smile alot.  This month he started playing with toys, grabbing his feet, sucking on his whole hand (he might be teething), laughing, rolling from tummy to back, sitting in his bumbo and holding his head with no help.  This month also he got a double ear infection and it was not good.  Thank God it is gone now.  He has had a few minor colds here and there but nothign too bad.  He loves his daddy, as soon as John walks in the room he just follows him with his eyes like if he were saying “hi Daddy” it is just funny to watch.

 Eli will have his 4 month check up soon.  I can’t wait for him to start eating solids this month.  I will take alot of picture to share with everyone. 

Boy,  time has flown by.  I can’t believe my little guys is 2 months now.  He is growing so much, he weights 10 lbs.  He loves to smile and loves to follow things with his eye. He is definetly more alert.  He will have his two month doctor apt on Tuesday and I know he will not be happy since he is getting his shots.  Oh boy it will be interesting.              

Eli is now going to daycare. He is doing good there, I cried ther first day we left him there. I just missed him so much, I could not wait to see him after work, I even snuck out of work during lunch to go see him. They take good care of him and that makes me happy.  I can’t believe how much daycare cost but you gotta do what you gotta do.

4  weeks – I started smiling.  This was the first time I actually smiled and Daddy ran to get the camara.  I am always smiling now and I am such a happy baby.

5 weeks – Eli is almost a month and a half and is growing so much.  He is such a good baby and likes  to smile.  He has been having issues with his little tummy.  We had to switch his formula because the one that he was on was making him extremely gassy and he would cry every time he passed gas.  He seemed to be very uncomfortable at time so we hope this new formula helps him feel better.  He is growing so much he now weights around 9 lbs. It blows my mind to think that soon he will be 2 months.  Time is going by so quickly and by the time we realize it I will be back at work and he will be in Daycare.
